What is this website?
MusicallyDown (also searched as MusicalDown) is a browser-based TikTok saving tool. Paste a public, accessible video link to download an MP4 in the formats returned for that link; a watermark-free file or separate audio may appear when offered. It helps keep content you are allowed to save on phone or desktop browsers—not editing, account login, or cross-platform reposting.
Key features
- Paste a public TikTok link and save an MP4 at a resolution actually returned for that link
- When a watermark-free option appears in the results, download that file
- Use a separate TikTok-to-MP3 page to extract available audio
- Use the Stories downloader entry for accessible public Story links
- No registration or TikTok password is required; works in common mobile and desktop browsers
Common use cases
- Creators backing up their own posts: copy the share link and save an MP4 in a computer browser
- Saving a supported public clip on a device without the TikTok app
- Keeping audio only: open the MP3 page and download the track offered for that video
- Saving a public Story: paste the Story link on the dedicated page and pick an available format
Who is it for?
- People who occasionally need a local copy of a public TikTok and accept an ad-supported free site
- Users who prefer copy-paste in the browser over installing a third-party app
- Creators downloading content they have permission to keep, knowing formats depend on the source
- Poor fit: bulk scraping, private accounts, or guarantees of 4K / watermark-free on every clip
- Also poor fit: anyone hoping to download YouTube or other non-TikTok platforms here
How does it compare with similar tools?
Compare whether TikTok login is required, whether only TikTok links are accepted, whether resolution and watermark-free options vary by source, and whether audio or Story entry points exist. Desktop downloaders may offer more controls but need installs; in-app sharing often keeps platform watermarks. For one public link in a browser, the flow is short; for reliable high-volume HD jobs, look at dedicated clients or official export paths.
FAQ
Q: Is MusicallyDown free?
A: The site says downloads are free and ad-supported, usually without registration or installs.
Q: Will every video offer watermark-free or 4K?
A: Not guaranteed. Results depend on the original clip and formats returned at that time; the site cannot invent detail that was not in the source.
Q: Can I download YouTube here?
A: No. The FAQ states only TikTok links are accepted.
Q: Do private or deleted videos work?
A: Usually not. Use an accessible public link and paste the URL alone when possible.
